I have been the librarian/technology teacher at North Beach Elementary School since 2010-11. Prior to coming to Seattle I served as an elementary librarian in the Bellevue School District for ten years and started my teaching career as a high school Social Studies teacher in the Orcas Island and Shoreline School Districts.
I hold a Masters Degree in Integrating Instructional Technology and am a National Board Certified Teacher in Library Media. The mission of the Library and Information Technology program is to ensure that all students are effective users and producers of ideas and information. I enjoy exploring new technology resources and determining how they can be integrated into curriculum in order to support student learning. In the library I am honored to have the privilege of being able to combine my interest in teaching technology skills with fostering a love of literature and reading. When I'm not at school I am probably spending time with my family, enjoying a good book, or playing soccer! | |
